Palm and Epic Games showed off unreal Engine 3 up which runs on the Palm’s web OS. It looks really wonderful viewing unreal games on Web OS. Game developers will get free access to unreal engine so that they can add more games. So, lets the unreal games begin. Palm and Epic games have indeed left impressions on the viewers and have stirred the interest of gamers and developers with their Unreal Engine3. A week earlier, Palm released its Plug in Development Kit (PDK) by keeping the requirement of game developers in mind. It is a plug in for the Web OS SDK mixed with C/C++ code. Epic Games’ Vice President Mark Rein, told last week that Palm was only given a test version of the Unreal Development Kit recently. Palm put it in running condition to share it publicly at the show.
Palm welcomes game developers to use its unreal Development Kit. Developers can easily download the kit to create games with Unreal Engine 3. With the availability of Palm PDK, we will be able to find some wonderful games in near future with Upgrade Phones. With the help of Palm’s Plug-In Development System (PD
K), we can also transfer iPhone games to the webOS. We will find some popular iPhone applications ported to webOS in very near future. At present, the distribution of “mixed” apps is quite limited but it will enhance with the next webOS update.
One wonderful feature that was shown off at the conference was that users can keep a game running in background while multitasking to other applications. The thumbnail for the game refreshes once a second so that you can see what’s going on in the game while using other programs. Get the Freedom to Move with Cheap cordless phones
